Over the last several years, the Nankin Kid's Club has continued to grow, and typically sees 15 to 25 kids a week at the Saturday morning get-together.   The club meets in the spring, then takes a summer break, and picks back up in the fall and culminates with a holiday pizza party and contest.

The Kid's Club holiday party/contest took place on December 17th, and went very well with 28 models entered.   There were three age categories, with a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awarded in each.   The kids enjoyed speaking about their models and were happy with the results.   After the contest we had an IPMS Livonia X-mas party style raffle, and every kid received a model from the club stash, followed by lots of pizza and other goodies.   Parents also brought in a variety of baked goods so no one went away hungry!!   Another nice touch was an appearance by the owners of Nankin Hobby and Hardware, who were given thanks for hosting the Kid's Club, and seemed genuinely pleased to see how successful the club has become.

Bob wishes to thank Travis, Jim A., Larry S., Mike K., and Henry K. for their support with the Kid's Club every Saturday morning.   Others like Steve G. have also showed up as schedules permitted and he thanks them as well.   This club couldn't take place without their dedication and support, but of course none of this would have happened if not for the vision and commitment of Bob B.   Good Job Bob!
